We're thrilled to share that, despite all the disruption through Covid19, and several months later than normal, 5 new Dunblane Bursars have joined the partnership bursary scheme.
Three Bursars will attend Chambe secondary school, 1 to Mulanje Secondary school and for the first time we also have 1 bursar at Gawani Secondary school.
This takes our total to 20 secondary Bursars - 5 in each of the secondary year groups. Secondary education is not free in Malawi.
A Dunblane bursar is supported with school fees, stationary, uniform, access to textbooks through our lending library, a solar lamp to allow studying at night, and more - designed with the Likhubula steering committee, we are proud of the comprehensive support Dunblane Bursars recieve to achieve their best.
