This year we are really pleased to have provided solar lamps to all 25 of our Bursars. This follows a suggestion by the Likhubula Committee and Bursars Monitor on ways to support Bursars to achieve their best and will allows Bursars to study at home in the evening.
As with everything in Malawi, these were presented very publicly to ensure transparency in a "very special event".
The Likhubula committee write:
"Here attached are photos of bursars, parents/guardians and Steering committee members during a very special event of Torches distribution. There are very special thanks from bursars, guardians/parents as well as chiefs for the Torches given to every bursar. The Torches are enabling the bursars to study during night hence good results are expected. The committee managed to purchase Torches which are of high quality. They are of 2 years guarantee such that when any Torch has a problem we go and exchange with a good one or else it can be repaired by the dealer."
We look forward to great results from our Bursars, and thank the Likhubula Steering Committee for their efforts in making this happen.
