The Shed That Fed a Million Children

We are proud to support Marys Meals.

1700 children are fed every day at Nansato Primary school thanks to donations from the Dunblane community, volunteers from the Likhubula community, and Marys Meals.

These 1700 children are part of the ONE MILLION children being fed every day around the world by Marys Meals.

To coincide with "the first milllion", the founder of Marys Meals, Magnus Macfarlane-Barrow, has written a book telling the story of Marys Meals: "The Shed That Fed a Million Children". We would encourage anyone and everyone to buy a copy and read for yourself.

Fiona from our steering committee writes:

"On Saturday 23rd May, Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow launched his book The Shed that Fed a Million Children. Now available on Amazon, the book recounts the inspiring story of how Magnus used his faith, love and inspiration to create a visionary charity that now feeds more than 1,000,000 children across the world. I was fortunate to be at the launch to hear Magnus read from his book. In one passage, Magnus described a visit to a nursery with a very good friend of our Partnership, Peter Nkata, showing what an small world it has become! Our own partnership school, Nansato in Likhubula , is a Mary's Meals School and we have seen the impact the programme has had on the children and wider community there. Fiona came back even more inspired to support this amazing mission and hopes that others will also read 'The Shed' and feel the same way."
