Christina Kolopo was one of the original bursars funded by the Dunblane Likhubula Partnership.
Christina was selected to attend Mulanje secondary school in 2009 having been identified as an ideal bursar by a senior member of the staff at Likhubula House.
At school Christina studied hard and achieved good grades. She favoured English, Maths, Physical Sciences and Biology. At an early stage in her secondary education, Christina had stated she wished to become a nurse.
Christina completed her secondary education and had achieved sufficient qualifications to attend nursing college. With the support of the Likhubula committee, she found and obtained a place on a nursing course.
After a lot of consideration, the Partnership were delighted to agree to fund her course which is residentially based and included nursing training experience in another country. This is outwith the scope of our usual Bursary programme but, having sought out the course herself and gained the necessary grades through the Bursary scheme, we felt this was too good an opportunity to miss!
We are currently looking forward to receiving a progress report from Christina. Watch this space…
