On Monday December 9th, five Dunblane High School pupils travelled to Hutchesons' Grammar School in Glasgow to take part in the Global Educational Challenge.
Alba, Catriona, Laura, Christy and Kitty (the Likhubula Lion!) competed against other schools from Scotland and presented their plans to support education within Malawi. The Dunblane team demonstrated their in depth knowledge of the education system within Malawi and outlined the barriers that prevent learners from attending school or taking up further education. The girls outlined their plans to help support learners in Malawi to enrol in nursing courses and improve the health of entire communities within the country.
In front of the judges and attentive audience the girls showed great presentation skills and confidence and were awarded £500 to take their project ideas forward. Well done Alba, Catriona, Laura, Christy and Kitty!
